The challenge:
Peter Howard & Co are chartered accountants and tax specialists based in Wetherby. They were faced with having to upgrade their old practice management software (IRIS) to a Microsoft SQL server platform whilst keeping costs down and minimising downtime.

Peter Howard & Co approached ISL Technology Group seeking assistance in implementing a cost effective solution which would allow them to utilise existing hardware equipment where possible. They wanted to seamlessly upgrade to the Microsoft SQL version of IRIS without any disruption to their business.

The solution:
ISL implemented a network system supplying a new HP Server, Microsoft Windows Small Business 2008 Premium Server O/S and upgrading existing server equipment.
The installation was completed outside of normal office hours to avoid any system downtime for Peter Howard & Co.  ISL liaised with IRIS to assist in the transfer of data from the old system to the new system and to install the new version of IRIS.

The result:
Peter Howard & Co  were able to upgrade to the new Microsoft SQL version of their practice management software (IRIS) without any downtime or disruption to their business. They were able to keep costs down by utilising existing server equipment without compromising system performance.
